Sara Konrad Baranowski is deputy managing editor of The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Before joining The Gazette in July 2022, she spent 16 years at the Iowa Falls Times Citizen, a twice-weekly paper in rural northern Iowa. There, she led the five-person news staff as editor, and also wrote stories, took photographs and edited video. She is a native Iowan and mother of twin 11-year-olds.
