Kristin is an entrepreneurial ecosystem builder and organizational psychologist focused on creating equitable economic prosperity. Her latest startup project is as a Founding Co-Owner of Colmena, a worker-owned collective for diverse consultants working in philanthropy and economic development where she is currently serving as Co-Lead for the national Ecosystem Builder Leadership Project. She has been a senior nonprofit and foundation executive, most recently as Executive Director at Startup Champions Network and CEO of Valley Venture Mentors. She has held executive positions in many sectors, from entrepreneurship, community foundations, higher education, and Fortune 100 companies. Kristin focuses her consulting practice on community-centered organizations, particularly those working to advance the strength of diverse populations. With over 25 years of experience in organizational development, fundraising, and communications, Kristin is a creative strategist and nonprofit operations geek. She is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and a certified Kripalu yoga teacher. Kristin volunteers as a mentor, advisor, and speaker and is passionate about causes that create safety for the most vulnerable populations. Kristin earned a B.A. in English and Spanish from Colgate University and an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Springfield College where she taught organizational and career development. She is a mom with a passion for plants, animals, and fitness.
