Kristen Thompson

Young Adult Voices Working for a Clean Energy Future

Kristen grew up in New Jersey where she was first introduced to the environmental field through her local arboretum and environmental commission. Now based in Keene, NH, Kristen studies International Sustainable Development and Climate Change at Antioch University and works for the Alliance for Youth Climate Leadership and Community Garden Connections. Her work focuses on engaging, collaborating with, and educating local community members around climate issues and growing food. Kristen has also worked on community farms in Vermont and New York, co-led community events and trips centered around the outdoors and gardening, and designed and planted edible, perennial landscapes. After graduating this fall, Kristen is excited to apply her skills to contribute to a just transition in food systems and agriculture towards greater climate resilience and mitigation.
