Cierra Tunquist

Research Assistant at Arts Alive, Antioch University

Increasing Access to the Arts

Cierra was born and raised on a horse ranch in a rural part of Northern California. She recently moved to New England to attend Antioch University for Dance/Movement and Couples/Family Therapy. Rather than living in the ‘city,’ Cierra opted to live 30 minutes away from her university so that she and her cat could enjoy a more rural lifestyle. With her university and the local nonprofit ArtsAlive!, Cierra is researching how health, loneliness, and the arts intertwine in the Monadnock region. So far, their research defends the notion that a lack of access to artistic expression may be considered a valid public health concern.
